I’m excited to announce the release of my new book, 𝘚𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘺 𝘗𝘰𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘵: 50 𝘞𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘓𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘢 𝘉𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩 𝘐𝘯𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘓𝘪𝘧𝘦. It’s currently available on Amazon in Kindle format. The paperback won’t be ready for another couple of weeks.⁣

This one is a short and petite “pocket book”. It is meant to serve as a quick dose of inspiration whenever you crave a bit of beachy goodness (and who doesn’t!) It's the type of book you can snuggle up with on the couch (or beach blanket) and read in one sitting, or pick just one chapter over a cup of tea.⁣

Here’s a taste of what it’s all about: ⁣

The beach is a mysterious, transformative, peaceful and intriguing environment that holds a special place in the hearts of many. Whether you live near the ocean, visit it occasionally, or have never stepped foot on its sandy shores, living a beach inspired life elevates the experience of the everyday. This book will inspire you to slow down and tune in to the wise words of wisdom the beach has to offer. ⁣

Infusing your life with the essence of the beach is really about seeking more of what we instinctively crave and thrive on—simplicity, peace, tranquility, freedom, connection, self-care, adventure, nature and fresh air. ⁣

𝘚𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘺 𝘗𝘰𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘵 will help you hunt down the hidden seashells life has to offer and sprinkle each day with a dash of beach magic! ⁣

I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it! 🐚☀👙🌊🕶⁣

A friendly little reminder that "it's not all or nothing"! This of course, does not just apply to chips or chocolate 😜 ⁣

This is something I have to remind myself regularly. "It's not all or nothing". It doesn't have to be "go big or go home".⁣

I have a really busy day ahead, and I'm itching to throw myself into a new writing project. Although I'd like to spend the whole day on it, I'll settle for one hour.⁣

I have a headache, and didn't feel like running and doing weights as I had planned. Instead I did a very short and easy bike ride, and felt much better afterwards.⁣

The house feels in disarray, but I don't have the time (or desire) to clean it from top to bottom. I'll settle for a quick tidy of my bathroom vanity so I have a neat corner to myself.⁣

Where do you like to apply "it's not all or nothing" in your day-to-day?⁣

Happy Tuesday⁣

Summer, (or rather blueberry season) just happens to be ‘the most wonderful time of the year’ for me! I went to visit my parents in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia this week so I could milk it as much as possible. My mom and I picked 33 pounds between the two of us. This is just the beginning. I’ll be back for a refill once these are gone. You might think I’m freezing them, but I’m not! I’ve been eating blueberries three meals a day ever since. My son, who follows in my footsteps, sits down with them as if they are a bowl of popcorn. I feel pretty fortunate that my favorite food in the world is classifed by some as a super food! Win-win!⁣

What classifies as the most wonderful time of the year for you? How do you milk it for all its worth?

Don’t you love the feeling of being in an inspired state? These are the times in life when you are bursting with enthusiasm, energy and motivation. Whenever I find myself on a “high” like this, I try to take advantage of it and go with the flow – to capture the moment and ride my own wave of enthusiasm! ⁣

Often, we find ourselves inspired, but the feeling fizzles before we get a chance to take action. This is a reminder to act today towards your health goals. You don’t have to have the perfect home gym set up, every healthy ingredient on the list, or a sparkly new pair of running shoes to get moving on your goals. ⁣

I’m incorporating this approach into my writing at the moment. I’m so excited about my new book, I feel the need to capitalize on the enthusiasm. I’m stealing any spare moment, in increments as small as 15 minutes, to get my thoughts down on paper (or rather the computer screen). ⁣

What has you buzzing with excitement today?

My newest book, “𝘌𝘭𝘦𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩” was just released recently. Health, wellness and nutrition are areas of life that I am passionate about. I’m always seeking out fun and inspiring ways to keep myself on track with my health goals.⁣

Having a collection of activewear that feels good to wear is one tiny way I motivate myself to stay on track with my fitness goals. My seasonal wardrobe “inventory count” always includes my fitness apparel. If your exercise clothes are trashed, maybe it’s time to replace a few items and inspire yourself to use them for their intended purpose!⁣

My sportswear collection was actually in really good shape heading into this summer. I had to replace two bras (my dog destroyed one!) and my pair of running shoes, and that’s it. Summer and early fall are really the only times of the year I can cycle, so I’ve been focusing on fitting this activity in whenever I can.⁣

What’s your favorite form of exercise this summer? Are you dressing for the part?

I get a lot of compliments on my book covers. I love my covers! Seeing each one come together has been one of my favorite aspects of the whole book writing process.

Of course, what makes them magical is the beautiful illustrations. I was so lucky to discover Elka Silenkova ( @flourishellis ). I originally found her on Shutterstock and then contacted her directly. She custom painted the illustrations for both Elevate Your Health and my previous book, Elevate Your Personal Style.

Isn’t her work beautiful?! I love the whimsical vibe of the sneakers in particular. I’m dreaming up ideas for my next book and I know I’ll be looking to Elka to bring things to life for me.

If you have a project that needs a special touch, please be sure to check her out. I’ve had fun creating my own personal journals and stationery with these images. So fun! 💕🌈🎨
