I have a new book coming out soon! It’s called “Elevate Your Health: Inspiration and Motivation to Embrace and Maintain a Healthy Lifestyle. I’m in the final editing stage and am I’m hoping to have it available next week. 🥳
This book focuses on the concept of setting yourself up for success. It’s about inspiring yourself to adopt strategies, activities and behaviours that will keep you on track with your health goals.
I thought I’d give a little preview of a paragraph that describes my mindset around physical activity, and how I view my running as a faithful friend, instead of just another chore on my to do list!
“Make New Friends:
I actually view my running as a friend. It’s been a constant and faithful companion of mine for over twenty years. It’s always there when I need it; reliable and quietly non-judgemental. It has seen me through some of the darkest periods of my life. It dragged me out of bed and got me moving on days when I didn’t see the point. It never leaves my side. It has accompanied me through the familiar streets of my own neighbourhood, as well as on meandering jaunts through picturesque foreign villages. It has lifted my spirits, and given me confidence and strength (from the inside out). It has listened to my anger and allowed me to vent unapologetically. It is patient with me when I’m feeling a little tired and sore, always willing to slow the pace if necessary. It knows when I need a push, and challenges me to reach new heights. Running (and exercise in general) is a true friend, that elevates my life on so many levels.” ❤️🏃♀️
