Adopting a window-shopping mindset allows us to admire something beautiful...without physically needing to bring it into our lives! This, of course, helps keep us on track with our financial goals, but it also helps keep our wardrobes streamlined and consistent with our personal style. ⁣

This is a photo of me on vacation in Aix-en-Provence a couple of years ago. @despetitshauts is my favourite brand and visiting one of their boutiques was a dream come true. (They don’t have stores in Canada). I sent my family off for gelato so I could enjoy leisurely time to myself in this special little shop. Honestly, it was such a whimsical and magical place, I could have spent the entire day in there. I could have also purchased three suitcase loads of clothing! I did pick up a couple of special items to take home, but I also just enjoyed the experience of admiring pretty things. The items I purchased (shoes, a t-shirt and a sweater) all matched my color palette and fit into my wardrobe nicely. I left a lot of π˜ƒπ—²π—Ώπ˜† π—½π—Ώπ—²π˜π˜π˜† π˜π—΅π—Άπ—»π—΄π˜€ on the rack that day, and left feeling happy and satisfied with my intentional purchases. ⁣

It’s easy to get carried away when surrounded by beauty! Have you had success with the window-shopping mindset? What’s your trick for resisting temptation? ⁣
