What if walking into your own closet had the same appeal as visiting your favourite chic boutique? Why not merchandise your own “inventory” the same way a shop would – in an enticing and attractive manner?
I took this approach with not only my clothes, but my jewelry as well. Lining the drawers of this antique dresser with adhesive velvet gives a bit of a “jewelry store display” vibe. The texture of the velvet also keeps all my chains in place and helps prevent tangling. I mentioned in my book that I only wear hoop earrings, which might sound kind of boring. I think my simple and small collection looks anything but boring. I enjoy pulling out this little drawer each day and choosing my hoops to complete my look.
